It’s possible he could have done that. Does Christian have the weight behind himself to push back against that or even have it in writing that can’t be done? TK might also draw the line between compulsory time away because of injury and nominal time away recovering for something. Kenny Omega seems like a guy who had time added to his deal, but I think some of his medical stuff when he was out was optional. Plus there was the suspension.
I can see Christian being the sort of guy to get it put into writing that his start date is here and his end date is here.
With the time he seemed to get off too, I have wondered if he has a number of agreed upon dates and that AEW used him up early which is why there were odd stretches where he didn’t seem to do anything.
