Yeah the new patch speeding up the process for unlocking alts is very good but still insane at him needing 18 hours just to unlock 1 alt because he played his first playthrough normally and wasn't purposely fishing for alt unlocks.

Like Smash Bros had some very grindy requirements to unlock certain people from Brawl and onwards but they had the courtesy of giving multiple options to do so that were not as grindy without needing a patch to help out.
