* Sony recently announced that around 6,000 current and former employees had their personal data stolen and expose to hackers from a hacking attack on the company on May 28th. It was stated that company officials only discovered what had happened on June 2nd and the current belief is no customer or business partners related data was access during this attack. It is currently not known if this attack was related to the hacking attack that was being claimed by a group called Ransomed.vc last month. This past May's attack was stated by Sony to have been triggered by a vulnerability in the MOVEit Transfer platform that also affected a lot of other companies and US government agencies.
