Fake Razor has a point, but remember that some people aren't voting on wrestling ability alone (myself included). I break down my score into 5 separate categories and then take the mean, which becomes the final score. I do this so that you can see what's in my head at the time, a way of explaining myself, so to speak.
Jeff Jarrett is well above average as far as ring and mic skill, but his recent HHHing of the NWA title is what lowered his score, just check my ranking. Yeah, I rated AJ Styles higher than Ric Flair, but if you look at my ranking Ric Flair got 1 in politics and straight 10s in everything else. He IS a legend, he IS arguable the best, but he's also a complete asshole, who has hindered careers and rubbed A LOT of people the wrong way and I reflect that in my score at least. AJ Styles is a hell of a performer who excels in all aspects of wrestling. He's still got a ways to go as far as psychology, but over the last year, he's already made leaps and bounds in that aspect. He's still learning on the mic, but I see a big future for him in Japan or even in the USA if TNA or some other promotion can eventually match the WWE in terms of size and production value in the next 10 years.
Looking at the other side of the coin now, if I were to vote based on my inner mark alone, Flair would get 1 since I am a Hart mark and his comments and brown nosing piss me off. I'm sure that's how a lot of people (who shall remain nameless) have been voting with their constant 1s.
And that's my rant. Now, on to the rating.
Ring ability: 10
Overness: 8
Work rate: 10
Politics: 6 (he's quite a bastard actually)
Mic skill: N/A
Overall rank: 8.5
