I still don't get the appeal but the fans seem to go crazy. Years ago DDP commented that his match with Goldberg would have been much better had Goldberg kicked at out after 2 following the Diamond Cutter. I agree.

The long two counts followed by a last second kick out adds to the drama. I imagine Cactus Jack kicking out of the Pedigree at 1 at the Royal Rumble having nowhere near the same level of impact.
The kick at one sounds fucking stupid and like a shark jumping moment for the match. Kicking out of the powerslam? Cool. That’s his kick out spot. He can counter the Muscle Buster once. Next time Joe hits it, slaps in the choke, that’s it.

Kicking out of moves isn’t hard. It’s kind of cheap.
