Fuck yeah. 007-373-5963

Played this a TON. Remember playing a lot at grandma's when she was watching me. Had a tiny TV in the front room and I brought the NES one day.

Remember struggling with the 2nd Bald Bull fight and at first, not getting Sandman's pattern down.

Super Macho Man would take me out in the 3rd round with his lightning punches that didn't have a wind up animation, but were super fast and hit hard. Took some time, but I eventually beat the bejesus outta him and got to the Tyson fight.

That. Took. Forever.

One day I remember doing a "fast dodge". If you tap left or right, and then quickly tap the opposite direction, you're dodge would be fast enough to actually hit Tyson on nearly every punch. At that point, it was just a matter of weathering the first 1:30 flurry of 1-hit KO uppercuts.

2nd round always started with fast jabs. I would block until I ran outta hearts, then dodge my way to recovery. Round 2 - this is the round to win in. Keeping Tyson at a "near" knockout would make the first KO in round 2 pretty quick. Keeping a pretty decent round of dodging almost all punches will always result in a 2nd round KO.

Then the hidden "world championship circuit" or something like that? There was a specific code given and you would have to hold certain button combos when entering said code. I think the fight started at King Hippo, was in a weird order, and things were WAAAAAAAY harder. Can't recall if I ever beat that mode or not.

Very fun game. Pattern recognition and reflexes. I believe this was my 3rd NES game ever, behind Mario (it came with it) and Kung Fu.
