He didn't "beat" Hogan for the title. The work was a "screwjob" by a referee and Ted Dibiase where Andre just gave the title to Dibiase 30 seconds later. Hogan didn't job the title clean.
I realize that Andre couldn't do much with the belt because of his condition. That is why it could have been a really short title reign, maybe 30 days or whatever and then Hogan could take it back at a Wrestlemania. Just something significant to pay tribute to a guy who was such an icon in the business before the end of his career. If anyone should have held the title, even for a very short while, Andre the Giant was one of them. Hogan could have exhibited some more class and given that little bit to him at least.

Im gonna assume back then that decision would be upto mcmahon and not hogan. Even if hogan had some say in it bottom line is mcmahon would have the final word in the decisions.
