I think you're totally missing the point here.

He threw enough money around and killed off the competition, yes. He's the only one out there. He's on top of wrestling, which is effectively a one-man hill. You may think it's impressive to be the best out of one, but since this best out of one is losing money at the time, it's hard to really call it a good thing.

So the WWE's the best in pro wrestling, for which there's no other real competition on TV. Yeah, you can invent a category for which you are the only market, and then claim that you're the best out there, but it really means jack shit.
