Name: Randy Orton
Real Name: Randy Orton
Age: 24 Year Old
Finishing Move: RKO
Years Pro: 3 Years
Archivements: WWE World Heavyweight Champion, WWE Intercontinetal Champion
Overness: Orton has risen alot over the past year...after a somewhat disapointing debut in the WWE, it seemed Orton was going to be sent back down to Ohio Valley Wrestling and labeled as a failure, then he was given another chance as he was traded to Raw and given the All-American third generation gimmick and picking up a few wins...beating, Stevie Richards, Lance Storm and Christian in a 2 week span, even beating the later two in a row..however he tore his shoulder, attempting his finisher which he botched (The O-Zone aka Elix Skipper Overdrive/Play Of The Day) He would return with the RNN segments, in which the fans begin to boo him, Orton played on the Heel segments...He returned and almost instantly joined Evolution..and in his first match back, Him and his Tag Team partner...Batista both get injured...Orton is out of Action for several months, until he made his return attacking Kevin Nash and then helping Flair and Triple H destroy Shawn Michaels...It was shortly after this Orton begin to call himself the Legend Killer when he nailed HBK with a chair and helped Flair defeat Michaels...Orton then begin to fued with HBK where at Unforgiven 2003, defeated Michaels...Orton would continue to kill legends in Sgt. Slaughter, Mualah...Then at Survivor Series, he pinned HBK once again, which caused Stone Cold to lose his job as General Manager of Raw, and added Austin to another legend killed by Orton....Orton getting big wins and a push, deceided to challenge Intercontinental Champion Rob Van Dam, consider by many to be a legend from ECW...and it was then Randy Orton won his first Title...Orton next challenge would be his toughest to date, as he turned his attention to Future Hall Of Famer Mick Foley, a fued that lasted from December to March, and it was because of Foley, Orton who entered the Royal Rumble second, was eliminated late within it. Orton finally got a match with Foley, however it wasn't a 1 on 1 encounter but a 3 on 2 Handicap Match, which saw Orton catching Foley off guard who was about to lock on the Mandible Claw, with a RKO for a quick victory, it setted up a rematch at Backlash, which saw Orton taking from severe bumps including falling backfirst on a bunch of thumbstacks, getting hit with Barbed Wire and being throw off the stage with Thumbtacks still in his back thru a table...a bloody Orton hit a RKO on a Barbed Wire bat to send Foley home once again...The Next night on Raw, Orton cut a Promo, which resulted in Orton getting Face Pops for the first time in his heel run, for the next few months, Orton would retain his title over Shelton Benjamin, Edge, Chris Jericho among others, Before finally losing the Title after 7 months to Edge..Orton would get another chance at the title and had a 4 Star Match with Edge on Raw..The next week, Orton won a Battle Royal to challenge for the World Heavyweight Title, Orton then claimed it was his destiny to win the the World Heavyweight Title at Summerslam and he did just that, ending Chris Benoit 5 Month Title Reign...Orton would defend the title the next night against Benoit and retain but was kicked out of Evoltion, Orton turned face, and was getting over...it could be argued that he is Raw top face..He last the Title 3 Weeks later, and here to the day...He is consider one of the top Wrestlers in the WWE...and he did so in a very short span on 2 1/2 years.
Score: 9.
Look: What Can I say, Randy Orton has the look of someone you want in your company, he has that cocky smile, great body...Some Superstars just have that special look about him, and Randy Orton has it...okay that all I have to say about this
Score: 10
Talent: Orton who I was able to catch in OVW, was a god in the ring, which is sorta hard to beleive considering how I had to watch his skills die down and adjust to the WWE style of wrestling, His matches when he debut were better in my opinion then what it was about a year ago, He had the best Cross Body in the business (Very Steamboat like in my mind) his Dropkicks were beautiful, and had some decent matches with Lance Storm, and even had a pretty good match with the Undertaker (By Normal Taker standards) however they were still nothing great, then began his Legend Killer push, he had a decent match w/ HBK at unforgiven last year (Sub Par by HBK standards) He would continue to have sub par matches with RVD, Booker T and others...However Orton, did shows some signs of Improvement in a rematch with RVD for the IC, however he would continue to disapoint somewhat, However had what many consider his first great singles match in the WWE v. Mick Foley at Backlash, it wasn't your typical wrestling match, but a Hardcore Match, which saw Orton takes some bad bumps and spots, it didn't prove Orton could wrestle but it showed he was willing to do stuff for the fans and business...however it seemed this match sparked something in Orton, no longer was producing Sub-Par matches but was getting better each week, having above average and even great matches with Benjamin, Jericho and Edge, it may of been just because he had better oppenents, he would continue to improve and had what I consider a 4 Star classic with Edge on Raw after losing the IC Title..and had another great match with Benoit that involved him winning the World Title...in Closing, I think Orton has talent and will begin to slowly show it more and more....Last Year I would of rated him a 7 In Talent, but after his improvement, he get's a 8 from me.
Score: 8
Mic Skills: Well, I'm not really great about discussion Promos, so i'll won't discuss this much...Orton does seem like he is getting really confiedent on the mic and is beginning to show improvement, espically with his Promo with Ric Flair on Raw this past week...
Score: 7.5
Archivements: Well, He's only been in the WWE for just over two years and hasn't had much time to gain many archivements, however he has made the most of thoses two and a half years, and in thoses two years, he's gained pinfall Victories over Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Ric Flair, Booker T and Rob Van Dam, he also had two title reigns including a World Heavyweight Title Reign, he's been part of one of the most sucessful stables in recent years...He hasn't had the great archivements of a Ric Flair or Bret Hart, but however he will in time, and you can't compare him to thoses legends since he is still very early in his career, So for the two years he been in the business, I'll give him a 8.5.
Score: 8.5
Potential: He is being praised as the Future of the industry and for good reason, He has the look, his in-ring skills are improving, as are his Mic Skills, and now the fans are beginning to flock to him, he has archived so much, in so little time...and while the fans were resenting his push a year ago, thoses very same people are the one praising him...Orton always talks about Destiny and I beleive we have one on our hands in him...That's why he scores a 10
Score: 10
Finisher: He uses the Diamond Cutter, a move known to get heat because it can be hit from almost anywhere, just like the Stunner, a move that help make Stone Cold Steve Austin so over...Orton however for the longest times, failed to do the move correctly and still messes up from time to time, as in doing it one handed, and sometimes, even completely missing his oppenent with it, however, while it may just be the Diamond cutter, he has added his own uniqueness to it, as in Floating in mid air when he hits it, and hitting it out of no where, much like DDP, however he has had some great Counters, including the one he used on Benoit to win the title at Summerslam
Score: 7.5
