That's some bullshit right there.
First of all, the whole "paid his dues" thing is crap. Anyone who's made it to the WWE has obviously paid their dues (with the exception of the Tough Enough kids, and they aren't even getting pushes so it doesn't matter). The WWE is the top of the top, and when you get there, you've paid your fucking dues.
And the whole thing about ruining Cena's rep is even bigger bullshit. Being the average WWE fan, you probably don't remember how John Cena himself debuted: victories over Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle in his first two fucking matches. That's how you debut a wrestler with great potential. Did Cena's wins over Jericho and Angle hurt their careers? Let's see: Jericho is (arguably) the top face on RAW, and Kurt Angle is (arguably) the best heel on Smackdown.
I'm glad they did something unexpected like have Cena drop the title so soon and to a debuting worker. It makes for exciting TV, and puts Carlito in a position to prove himself, which I'm sure he will in the coming weeks.
