Yeah, didn't mean to word it like I did. But about the class thing. One system I've been hooked on since I started playing this genre was the one used in Asheron's Call.

You had a certain amount of points that you could put into your attributes (things like strength, dex.. etc..), and then a certain amount to use to buy skills. The skills were based off of your attributes. I just fell in love with this system, and it bothers me when I can only be 'classes', and can't really create my own templates that thoroughly mix things. I also liked the fact that if you made the wrong choices, you could gimp yourself. This took away from the 'cookie-cutter' classes in so many games today. In a lot of games, you're only as good as another person of the same level and class as you, and then it relies on your -equipment-.

*shrugs* I'm still stuck on my first game. It had so much customization that no two characters were the same unless you actually planned it that way. -Then-, equipment came into play. You could be actually worse than someone of your same level and 'class' (class, so to speak..), but your equipment might give you the right boost to put you on the same level as them. I just liked the choices and stuff.. =\
