Okay, say you have a regular bass drum.

Not to deep or anything.

(it was cheap)

Is there a way to make it sound more deep or to have a more defined sound?

Can this be achieved by tightening the drumheads?

I ask because I bought a used drumset to start out. I've been wanting one for a long time and I had no money or privacy to actually enjoy it until now.

I figure I can piece by piece buy what I want.

So that is what I want to know.

I think there is more but I cant think.
