Fuck me I'm an idiot.

Went ALL the way back to my safe house (which is now bombarded with Ballas), saved, then went ALL the way back to the Badlands (crashing my car into the water in the process, forcing me to swim/run for about 5 miles), only to find there was a save point right near the next mission.

Ahg well, that mini-decathalon helped moved my maximum health up at least.
