It's the mission where you have to chase down a helicopter for Tenpenny, shoot the pilot, grab the dossier, and bring it back. It seems like a simple mission, but the 'copter always flies over Area 69. That gives me five stars and fucks me up, completely.
If I go around Area 69, will I fail the mission for being too far away from the helicopter? Because if I can go around and not have five stars and hydra jets shooting rockets at me while I chase him, that would make it a whole lot easier.

Just get a chopper from the airport so that you don't have to get one of those on top of the cliff. He always got a good head start when that happened.
