If you read the GQ magazine with the Rock on it, it reveals the meaning of his Samoan tat. I have something similar, but it's more of a Tahitian armband, and coincidently there are similar parts of it that mean the same thing. (ie- the sun means good fortune, turtle shells mean protection from evil, etc) I got it around November 2002, and when Rock came back around No Way Out, I was surprised that he got something similar to mine.
