What a great ending to RAW.
Personally, I don't think Triple H is going to be involved in the World Title decision next week, for a few reasons. First, Jericho is the GM. He hates Triple H (storyline wise) and will probably book a World Title match involving himself, Edge, and/or Benoit. Secondly, JR said it himself: "We KNOW we have a NEW World Heavyweight Champion, the question is, who is it?!" Triple H was outside the ring, sitting in the fans when the decision was made. He isn't even in the picture anymore. It's Benoit or it's Edge.
Personally, I think they're going to end up giving it to Benoit and having Jericho vs. Benoit for the World Title on RAW. Edge's character is finally building some momentum and getting over with the crowd. This whole "I keep getting screwed out of the World Title!" thing is kind of working for him, and after what happened last night, he's only going to have even more heat to build off of. What's better than "Not only did you people not vote for me at Taboo Tuesday when I SHOULD have had my first title shot, but I got screwed out of my World Title victory when I pinned Chris Benoit 1-2-3!"
Only good things can come of this angle, and with any luck, none of them will involve Triple H.
However, you've gotta wonder if Vince McMahon is taking heed of Pat Patterson's dying words: "HHH is ruining the WWE." By having both Benoit's and Edge's music played with them holding the belt, it's like he gauging the crowd's reaction to see how they would like someone else at the helm of RAW.
But, let's face facts, this is only going to last 2 months at the most before Triple H is the undisputed World Heavyweight Champion again. It's going to be Randy Orton vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 21, and we all know it.
