Sony used to be known to stand by their products.

I've been dealing with this problem since about 6 months after I picked up my PS2 (Though the problem was only with Final Fantasy: The spirits Within, so I figgered it wasn't a big deal. Same disc wouldn't play totally right on other DVD players either, so for about another year, I figgered it was the one disc and ignored it). Then, it became more movies: ones I knew had worked in the past. Now it's over 30 movies and seems to affect like half of my PS1 collection. To find out this is a common problem and Sony won't even do anything about it until they're sued (and even then won't advertise it), that's just
