Well let's say in the first round two popular bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin get in the same group of five. That means one of them would be eliminated in the first round eventhough the band would be liked by more people than another band that will go farther.

But see, that's where it makes it more fun.
Why wait for the final rounds for the best bands to face off when there is a possibility that they face off sooner?
There are tons of great bands in this thing, I think each one of them could make a good stake at winning this.
The chances of all of the best bands facing off against one another are slim.
