I have opinions on most of these too

Wizards having a better record than the Heat at this point.

I knew the Heat wouldn't be as good as they were marked up to be, but they haven't been entirely what I expected. Dwayne Wade has made a showing a lot stronger than I thought. I thought there might be too much pressure on him, but he is holding down. Eddie Jones has been ass though, and Shaq needs to get healthy and the forwards need to be better role players if they want to have a shot at the finals.

The Hornets having one win.

This surprises me and it doesn't. I knew that they would have a big dropoff because they are in the best Division in B-ball. Then with Baron wanted to be traded and three of their top guys going down, I guess thats just how it works. It really is a shame though, Milwaukee should move to the West and either Memphis or New Orleans go back East.
A friend of mine had a big debate last summer about this. I used what all the TPWW people used on me about KG but on T-Mac instead. I said that he was unproven and greedy, but because T-Mac said "I am going to work hard and win" my friend believed it. I also argued that if T-Mac was really as good as he was talked up to be, the Magic wouldn't have been so bad. I guarantee if you put KG on the Magic last year they would have won at least 10-15 more games. T-Mac is a great player, but he doesn't show the winning touch yet.

Brevin Knight averaging close to 10 assists
|
Not neccessarily Brevin Knight, but I am totally impressed by the Bobcats. They were predicted to come out just ass, but they are really doing decent. Emeka is playing real well, better than I though, and now they have my Mizzou boy Kareem Rush, he will be good over there. They have the core to be a good team in the future, and once they start getting more cap room they are on track to be pretty good if you ask me.

Sonics having the best record in the league.
|
This one shocked me too, but I was pleasantly surprised. Ray Allen is the shit, and Rashard is damn good too. Its just wierd that after losing Brent Barry and Calvin Booth (

) they break out. I don't see them falling too far down at any point in the year though.

Orlando having the best record in the east.
|
Before the season I thought Orlando would be pretty good this year, but I thought that for a different reason. We know Francis is a good player, but Mobley was really solid last year for the Rockets. This year he has pretty much been a non-factor, but Dwight Howard surely has been a factor. He is scoring much more than I thought, and he really could be the next big thing. I wasn't expecting that at all. Go Magic.

Ron Artest being suspended.
|
Yeah, this surprised everybody. I really do think that the suspensions were kind of sharp. But I do hope that the Pacers still make the playoffs and do well. I honestly think that they will, and they have a good chance of making the Finals. I mean, Artest is damn good, but Jermaine and Stephan Jackson will be back, Tinsley and Fred Jones are hot, and Austin Croshere has been real hot lately too. I think that even without Artest they are a legit Eastern Conference Contender (especially with how streaky Detroit has been). Also, notice I didn't say Title Contender.
Other things that have surprised me so far about the season
High scoring games again!
Last year 2 teams averaged over 100 points per game, so far this year 6 do. Then I think 13 teams average 97 points so far. That makes the games more exciting and I think it will help the NBA.
LeBron is King
Wow, I knew he was good and that he was going to one day be amazing, but happening this year was a complete shock to me. He is just tearing it up and will be a legit MVP candidate real soon.
Dave Waddings Suns
This is another pleasant surprise. Its awesome that Marion has been able to move to PF and the short lineup has worked so nicely. All of those guys are stellar players, and its cool to see them all meshing.
The Nuggets Sucking
Well maybe sucking is an overstatement, but they really have not been impressive. I'm not a fan of Carmelo, he was overrated because of LeBron last year. He is good, but he is not the phenom that LeBron is, and all of that got to him. I don't see them finishing any higher than a 7 seed.
Alright, hopefully this will get this topic heated up
