No, see, that's the thing. In the late-'90s, the focus was on Vince vs. Austin, it was on Stephanie being abducted by the Undertaker, then falling for Test, it was on Shane coming to her aid. The McMahon-Helmsley Era. Need I go on?
The examples you give are months old. The McMahons are all off of WWE television at the moment. Ditto for Gowen. Al Wilson has been dead since the summer. Coach is actually very funny, but I will agree that JR and King need to become less of a focus.
However, if you'd actually WATCHED the last few weeks, you'd see that the focus has been more on the wrestlers and not so much on the peripheral stuff.
BTW, you should care about Shannon Moore because he's incredibly talented (which you claim to enjoy) and has the potential to be a star if booked right. Now that it looks like they're booking him right...yeah, you should care.
Anyway, I'm done ranting.
