Drumsticks. MMMMMMMM.

Anyway, hard to say. I'm so ****ing bored with this monotonous speed metal/death/thrash drumming.. as Ninti mentioned, an overload of snare drum. Trust me, the presence of neverending double bass drumming will always be a portion on my plate... but there ARE other percussive instruments beyond cymbals, snare, toms, and bass drums. It's nice to hear those plus some other drums in a complex or abstract rhythm.

But I am going to say technique. There is nothing technical about incredibly slow drumming if you wanna get stingy, so a moderate tempo with some intense variation in musical elements is definately better than high tempos that can only be matched by a crackwhore giving a handjob.

With that in mind, unless you follow the "2 rhythms or more" rule we've discussed on this forum before, the mindless molestation of a drumkit that is Cryptopsy doesn't deserve much credit as far as polyrhythm goes IMO. Complex doesn't cut it either.
