Greatest Sports Game Triumphs

Yeah, it's been done before, but I'm doing it again.

As the topic title suggests, what are your greatest triumphs when playing sports video games?

I got Madden '05 for X-Mas and was playing my dad this morning. I was the Falcons and he was the Bengals. He scored with 53 seconds left in the 4th quarter to take a 5 point lead (don't remember the exact score).

So I get a lousy kickoff return and am in my own territory. I set up a running play, but then remember I have no timeouts and end up audible-ing into a passing play and I pressed X twice by mistake, because I was running out of time, and ended up wasting the play. 2nd down from the shotgun I send my receivers out and I pull right. I manage to hit my guy for a 1st down at my own 48 yard line, and I use the hurry up offense to spike the ball and stop the clock.

I basically waste the next 2 plays with incompletes, which brings me to 4th and 10 at my own 48 with under 20 seconds left. I go for the WR Streaks (which is basically a Hail Mary). The play starts and I veer left, looking for an open man. And not only can I not find anyone, but they are all too deep for me to throw, so I press L2 to get Vick scrambling and I just start rushing forward next to the sideline, planning to run out of bounds if someone gets close to me. But to my shock, I had a clear lane straight across, and nobody even touched me, and I scored the game-winning TD on a 52 yard run with 6 seconds to spare.

My dad and I were both sitting there in shock afterwards, and after the extra point, he ate up 3 seconds on the kickoff return and then threw an incomplete pass to end the game.

That has to be my best triumph.
