First off, good post. Just one comment.

While I agree that the Batista/HHH match wouldn't exactly be Steamboat/Savage, I think the potential storyline/hype leading up to this match will be MORE than enough to compensate for the lack of overall quality within the match.

The inevitable Batista/HHH feud is the best thing going for the WWE right now IMO. If played off right, the drama leading into this sort of match could be tremendous.

Batista will most likely win the Royal Rumble.
