I have to agree with you on this.
In no way is it good business to have WRESTLERS booking the shows. My Indy Fed ran into that problem and it drove us, and another affiliated with us, out of business.
They had EXCELLENT talent, almost all of which were prompty squandered and buried.
Goldberg, however, was over for a little while.. Then people got tired of him running over everyone. It would have been nice if he had been a better worker. But, in the end, he just REFUSED to lose, that is a bad situation to be in. If they brought in someone who was actually a challenge for him (RHYNO!!!!) they could have done huge business in powerhouse matches. Or gone a different route, and had someone be a psychological challenge.. or, found someone who was more technically sound *COUGH*HART, STORM, JERICHO, BENOIT, MALENKO, THE 1st FLOOR JANITOR, BIG BOSS MANS MOTHER*COUGH* (The list really could go on forever) it would have been a decent series of matches. But, SPEAR! JACKHAMMER! 1-2-3, J-O-B, We think Goldbergs over, even though the crowd is chanting GOLDBERG SUCKS! GOLDBERG SUCKS!
...I'm a little bitter, yes.
But, thats my take on it.
