WCW was a one trick pony
They were nothing until the nWo V. top face angle
Once the top face (Sting in '97 & Goldberg in '98) had been killed off there was just nothing they could do to save it. They never built up another top face and kept going to the past and trying to re-create the old and overused nWo angle.
