See, there's a reason why the "finger poke of doom" incident was never repeated. It cost WCW millions because so many viewers were disgusted by the swerve and never watched WCW again.

That's one of the key problems with doing a heel turn/swerve: you want the crowd to be mad, but still entertained enough to keep watching and see if the good guys win out in the end. Stuff like the finger poke of doom, HHH's interference in the RVD/HBK Title match, and the like just piss the audience off to the point of changing the channel. So while it would indeed be a shocker to have Batista lie down for Hunter, it would also be absolutely ridiculous to try because it would turn off what small remaining audiences WWE has left, possibly for good.
