Best Tekken ever.
The gameplay goes back to the old school (T3) and you'll have about a half hour of control shock before your fingers except the limited 8 Way Run. The free roaming is still there, but you'll rarely use it. The fighting is fast and intense, and the visuals kick Part 4's ass like Jin Kazama in Devil Mode (who'll you'll face off with in the game). There's actually a better presentation on the story as well. The character list is like a reunion tour of old favorites; way better than the last game. It's not Tekken Tag packed, but character distinction is far improved as a result. For instance, Anna Williams move list was loosely based on Nina's before, but now there's a bigger difference between the two in style and technique. Grapplers King and Murdock have expanded move list that'll make grab happy players very happy. King has on particular string, that will eat 80% of your bar easily. But I'll never call him cheap, most characters have something similarly exploitable; but somehow it remains fun. The new guys are cool, especially Raven; who's off the chain move list is a mix of Yoshi'd craziness and Bryan's hard hits. The character editing feature is very limited, with an assinine money system that makes you pay for simply getting a new color on your favorite fighter (WTF?). The Tekken Force Mode is now a Jin Kazama exclusive game with altered controls. I've yet to finish it or play for more than 10 minutes but I can tell you it's about as good as the ones before. Take that as you will. Overall great game!
BTW, the end boss is interesting storywise, but an absurd notion even for a videogame. Some of the ending FMV's are really cool.
