In Torrington, CT about 35 minutes from where i live, some family auctioned off the right to name their child on e-bay. Some casino in Vegas bid like $15,000. I think the name was like Gold something Casino, or something along that line. So now the family is going to name their kid Goldie or something. THe bottom line is, if you auction off stuff like that on e-bay, you better be sure to follow through with it. The Derek Jeter Center isn't obscene and if the guy who won it want's to name it that, then let him do it. It's for one day, for crying out loud. It's not like it will be called that forever. The publicity they are receiving for it would be well worth it anyway's.
