Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. I don't know how well he handles money. Lets assume he doesn't. Then why?
1. Maybe he misses it. The fans cheering, the thrill, etc. Other wrestlers have mentioned it. Also, maybe he's not letting his ego get in the way.
2. It's probably a big pay off, and it's keeping the door open for him later on if he wants to go back for something.
3. He's getting into the WWE hall of fame. While this may seem like a technicality, it probably means a lot to him. Maybe he didn't want to refuse to go along with what they wanted and risk not being in the hall of fame. Afterall, didn't the WWE and Piper part on rocky terms last time?
