Well here's how I see the card shaping up:
Main Card:
-Triple H vs. Batista
-John Bradshaw Layfield vs. John Cena
-Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels
-The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
-Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit vs. Edge vs. Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kane
-Sumo Match: The Big Show vs. Akebono
-Orlando Jordan vs. Booker T
-Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
-Trish Startus vs. Christy Hemme
-Chavo Guerrero vs. Paul London
Heat:
-William Regal & Tajiri vs. Chris Masters & Gene Snitsky
-Victoria vs. Molly Holly
-No DQ: Mark Jindrak vs. Luther Reigns
-The Basham Brothers vs. Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas
There probably won't be tha many matches on the Heat card, but I really think they should start making the Mania pre-shows worth something. I'd include all the Heat matches in the WrestleMania 21 DVD. 4 extra matches would make each DVD more appealing to buy, IMO.
I'd hope the matches turn out something like this:
Triple H vs. Batista
Give Batista a clean victory here. Maybe even a squash victory if Triple H really wants to make Batista look good. Don't tell me 20 minutes of Batista whipping Triple H's ass wouldn't be entertaining.
I can see Batista losing, but ONLY if Randy Orton or the winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match costs him the match. I can really see a strong version of Evolution taking form after WrestleMania, with Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton & Charlie Haas as its members.
I can see Batista winning via disqualification when the MOTB Ladder Match winner interferes. The MOTBLM winner then cashes in his title shot, and pins the Batista-beaten Triple H for the 1-2-3 to become the new World Heavyweight Championship.
I think I remain in favour of Batista going over strong, though.
JBL vs. Cena
Many people disagree with this, but I think Cena may not be ready to be the top face of the company. People say that if JBL wins, SmackDown! is finished, but if something like Cena losing turns them away, they may aswell not be fans because everyone loses sometime. Storyline-wise, JBL would have everything in the book lined up to try and stop Cena from taking his title. If the WWE give two craps about the JBL character, they'd at leats give him the dignity to have Cena beat him by disqualification at the most.
I can see Cena getting ambushed in the back by The Basham Brothers with tyre-irons, with them signalling out his knee and skull. Cena still wanting to fight actually enters the match and holds his own, even kicking out at the Clothesline from Hell at one point. Cena hoists JBL up for the F-U, but Orlando Jordan is in with a tyre-iron and hits Cena in the knee. He then gives Cena one over the skull. The referee is about to ring the bell for the DQ, but Cena tells him he wants to fight. OJ then whips Cena's ass, and JBL covers, but the referee doesn't count. JBL then forces the referee to count the pin, but Cena gets out a two-count. JBL then kicks Cena's ass some more, but Cena makes a comeback and actually hits the F-U on JBL. In come The Basham Brothers but Cena takes them out easily. OJ goes to hit Cena, but Cena dodges and hits the Killswitch on Jordan. Another F-U on the way for JBL, when all of a sudden out comes Cena's mother (who I can actually see JBL bringing into the storyline as a characer for some reason) begins to strip for the crowd so she can get some money from Layfield. Cena then forces her to leave ashamed she would go so low for JBL. BAM! Tyre-iron to the crotch of Cena by JBL. WHAM! Clothesline from Hell. 1-2-3! JBL retains.
If the casual fans who apparently "love" Cena don't stick with him through a time when he was obviously screwed out of the belt, yet still put on a great match even though he was "injured" earlier that night, then I realy don't think Cena deserves to be the mega-face the WWE puts over JBL.
I love Cena as the person and the wrestler, but his character as always been going for a title for at least a year. He defeated The Big Show for the US Title, then he got stripped of the belt, won it from Booker T, lost it to Carlito, won it back, lost it to OJ. Now it looks like he's going to win the WWE Championship from JBL. Now I can see why people think it would be the best move to hav Cena win the belt, and I admit to having no knowledge of the wrestling business' workings at all, but I think if Cena is all that then he should be able to carry a feud without a title needing to be involved, or to be put over all the time.
The Rock lost so much in his career, yet he was still able to sell tickets. The Rock didn't win at WrestleMania 2000, and granted he had been WWE Champion before, and I admit to not being a wrestling fan at that time, but I think it would have made the crowd happier if The Rock had won the title from Triple H right then and there.
I personally believe that Cena shouldn't need the WWE Championship to be over with the fans. If he does, well then maybe he isn't the right pick for the "saviour" of the WWE afterall.
JBL is my hopeful winner of this match, and for him to drop the WWE Championship at Judgment Day to Rey Mysterio, or for him to hold onto the belt until The Great American Bash where he loses the belt to a returning John Cena who beats in a Texas Bullrope Match.
Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels
Angle goes over. 'Nuff said. I like HBK, but too much good comes out of Angle winning. SmackDown! gets one-up on RAW. The people Angle have put over (Cena, etc.) look even more golden now. Most importantly, Angle solidifies his spot in the WWE, and makes himself into a legend, in my book. It could be match of the night, maybe even the best WrestleMania match ever. And it definately could be the greatest WrestleMania moment of all time when Angle catches the Sweet Chin Music, sinches in an Ankle Lock, then drops to the mat in an Anchor Lock as HBK has nowhere to go and taps out. I am really excited about this match.
Legend vs. Legend Killer
I personally think Randy Orton needs to go over here. I think this will be a great match, and will be a WrestleMania moment, but I'm not too excied about this one, and have lost the urge to talk about it.
Actually I've lost the urge to talk about anything now, but this is a great card, and it could be the greatest Mania ever in my eyes (looking at this positivly). Well, it probably won't be, but if everyone puts in 100% and pours their souls into this card, I don't think the results will matter, because the performances will be so damn good. Give each match 20 minutes, and in the case of matches like The Big Show vs. Akebono and Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme where there is no need for 20 minutes, feed their extra time to Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels and the Money in the Bank Ladder Match respectively.
