This is exactly how WCW springboarded into competition with WWE. I think TNA getting a hold of The Rock would start one of those parasteltic (sp?) chain reactions. Starting in TNA hiring a household-name that isn't with the WWE like the mentioned Rock, or someone like Stone Cold, Goldberg, or any other of the "big draws" from the past decade and sticking them in the program. It can make a difference to have someone's favorite wrestler on a program.

Personally I don't watch much wrestling anymore, but if TNA were to pick up The Rock I'd be watching TNA and not caring about WWE. If they ever managed to get a hold of three of four of those kind of guys they could really come at the WWE.

Unfortunately for TNA, the mere notion of them hiring The Rock, Austin, etc. is a joke in my opinion, because if any one of them wanted to be wrestling right now, no one would be able to outbid the WWE in picking them back up. This isn't going to make the WWE sweat at all, if I were McMahon I would probably call The Rock and tell him something insane like "I'll double whatever they offer you" just to add some drama.

Also, it's my opinion just from what The Rock conveys in his interviews that he is pretty fond of the WWE and his time there. He didn't leave over a bad check or a contractual disagreement or law suit, he left to become a movie star.

But if by some random asinine fluke they do get a hold of The Rock, I agree with you, the WWE is in for big shit and if they get anymore big names as well after that, they are officially "at war." Also, I am rather stoned so please forgive my sloppy post and bad syntax.
