Backlund was a man's man. I missed his first tenure with WWE by 3 years, but I vividly remember his second time with the company. I'll never forget Backlund losing in chess to Johnathon Taylor Thomas at WMXII or telling Mankind how he always "excerbates" before a match at RR 1999.

If you don't believe that Backlund was a great WRESTLER then just look at the facts. The (then) WWF decided to take the belt off the first successful heel to hold the title, Billy Graham and give the ball to Backlund.

I just thought of a dream match:2 out of 3 falls Bob Backlund(circa 1981) v Kurt Angle
