No what I'm trying to say is that WWE puts wrestlers or images that are on these posters that will create interest which = money! Back in early 2002 RVD was still new to WWE and they knew that his style would create interest among casual fans and marks alike.
Right now on Raw, HHH=interest,money,controversy
take a step back and look at the big picture. WWE doesn't use programs that appeal solely to ppl like us(who breathe wrestling). They instead need to capture the interest of the casual fan base. Nobody on Raw can currently do that except Triple H. To capture casual fans you need to make them believe in the story. HHH has been promoted a THE WRESTLING GOD, now WWE is using that. That's why Batista is a "credible" challenger. This match is not being billed as "The Match of the Century" instead its being promoted as "Can this young monster defeat 'The Greatest Wrestler Alive Today'?"
Let me put it this way: WWE would be foolish not to use the wrestler that have invested most of their time in to promote the next Raw-exclusive PPV(which are usually weaker draws than joint PPVs). Its called marketing
