Is it really, though? Hosses don't last in the main event scene. Never have - never will, with two exceptions:

Brock Lesnar was a big guy, could be considered a hoss, but he was a fucking NCAA wrestling champion. The guy was young and he could MOVE with the best of them. Batista can't do that. For a 35 year old man of his size, sure, he's got considerable speed and ability. But he's no Brock Lesnar in terms of pure athletic talent, and that's what gave Brock longevity.

Goldberg was a hoss - no question about it. But he was fed by the endless line of mid-card and low-card wrestlers on WCW's huge roster in the late 90's. WWE doesn't have that kind of a roster to feed to Batista. Batista is good, but he's no Goldberg in terms of "monster" gimmicks.

Assuming that Batista will walk out of WrestleMania with the World Title, we all know that it's only a matter of time before he drops the belt back to Triple H. Whether it's at Backlash, or Judgment Day, or even Summerslam, HHH will get the belt back.

Then, where does Batista go? There aren't exactly a whole lot of upper card heels for him to feud with. Kane vs. Batista? Boring. Ric Flair vs. Batista? Even more boring. Edge vs. Batista? Boring, and why?

He has nowhere to go but down, down, down - right to the ranks of Heat.
