Well, maybe not so much for rock, but here goes anyways. And these aren't bands, rather individuals:

RJD2- produces rap songs and does his own instrumentals
Canibus- best lyricist ever
Juice- best freestyle rapper ever
Laroo- my friend's cousin
Left-Hand Path- they are rock, and they are my friend's band.
Dirty-D- My friend. He raps. Shit will come out soon.
