In 2000 Channel 4 acquired the rights to 4 WWF PPVs per year but then when the Attitude era was in full flight, Channel 4 decided it didn't want to promote putting people through tables, hitting people with chairs, smut and violence towards women so they gave up the rights to these 4 PPVs. Unfortunately Sky Sports didn't take them back on to be shown on Sky Sports 1 like before, instead they started selling the PPVs like you find in America. I don't want to say Channel 4 are to blame, but maybe this is why people are having to rely on buying from crappy cable companies rather than having the PPV automatically on Sky Sports.
