Personally, I am not going to make a prediction but it really wouldn't surprise me if the Red Sox don't make the playoffs this year. I think they rely too much on guys who just aren't that good, like Millar and Mueller. I think they would have been better off keeping Cabrera and not signing Renteria, and even though their pitching may be deeper in 3-5, 1-2 won't be as strong even if Schilling comes back full. They very well could win the World Series again, but they remind me a lot of this years Timberwolves. You do great, but then bring back all of the breakout players, some with new contracts, and they just don't live up.

That being said, unlike in the past few years, I think the Yankee's now have a complete lineup and easilly the best team in baseball. Their five starters are unmatched, and now that they have a real second baseman and real leadoff hitter their lineup is complete now, instead of #2, #4, #4, #5, #9, #7, #8, #8, #9. On paper, the Yankees are amazing, and unlike years in the past I think they have their team built right this year.
