I simply think if the show was aired on regular TV, like boxing, it would develop a bigger fanbase. It doesn't need to be bastardized with soap operatic plots.

They could televise past PPV matches and/or undercard matches of up and comers. It doesn't have to be weekly, as I don't know if there's enough depth in the sport to support that. However bi-weekly on 'ESPN2' or something would be viable. Mix in the Spike TV airing of 'The Ultimate Fighter' every year of 6 months, and I'd say they'd gain a much larger fan base.

I think some personal background and the like of the fighters is a great idea, as it helps you 'connect' to them better, but NEVER EVER would I consider trying to produce heels and faces and stables. Perhaps you didn't realize on 'The Ultimate Fighter' that that stuff sort of develpoed on it's own. Without being forced. You can't make that stuff up.
