I know wrestlers train hard, but I'm looking at it from a certain standpoint.
Pro wrestling is not a business built around dignity...it's always been one to con people. Whether or not they do it anymore is irrelevant, it's still the point of the business. And even now that they have come out and said "this is fake" (circa 1997) the storylines are so hick, I mean necrophillia? come on. Sure there are aspects of pro wrestling MMA can adapt, like cutting promos, but they already have that. If you bastardize it into pro wrestling, it loses the uniqueness that it's supposed to have.
And MMA guys are generally not juiced, because there is standardized drug testing, if they're caught juicing they are fired.
Now of course UFC hasn't gotten anywhere, it's only been around for 10 or so years and it hadn't gotten a television deal, now it has, and now is its chance to lift off. You can adapt some pro wrestling aspects like cutting promos and whatnot, and showing montages of guys training, but they don't need to be attacking each other in the locker room and triangle choking each other's wives, because then it becomes a farce, where pro-wrestling is already somewhat of a farce and always has been.
