He may be a good actor, he may not. But the cold, hard fact is he doesn't look like Superman. Darker colors doesn't work for Superman. It may work for Batman, but not for Superman. He's supposed to have bright colors so people can trust him. If he has dark colors, it makes him seem forboding, which he is not. The shield on the belt is awful. It's redundant. And I will agree that Batman does have way too many bats hanging around. Especially in the books now. No, the costume designer doesn't make the film. But a director who would approve a shitty costume like this is making the film. Overall, I am hating Superman Returns more and more.
