Owen's match looked like a worked finish from where I sit, but if I remember correctly, Bret won the SummerSlam 1993 match by submission and then had the decision reversed and got disqualified because he wouldn't release the hold. I had no idea this incident was a shoot - I thought it was the planned finish to the match.

That wasnt a shoot. They were working on that finish at house shows. I went to a house show a month before SummerSlam 93 and Hart faced Owen in the main event. Hart made Owen tap to the Sharpshooter and he didnt let it go. They kept fining him a 5,000 dollars over the loud speaker. Then they reversed the decision. Pretty much a work. Good stuff at the house show too. Best one i've ever been too.
