I'm gonna do my predictions based on MTV's fanbase, so it may seem left of center and I know it'll catch heat...

Best Movie
"Napoleon Dynamite"

I still don't understand the appeal to the movie, except for the dork dancing...

Best Male Performance
Jamie Foxx - "Ray"

This may be one of their attempts to look "legitimate".

Best Female Performance
Lindsay Lohan - "Mean Girls"

Should be Hillary Swank, but this is MTV, for Gawd's sake. I see everyone's favorite Red Head party girl on this one.

Best Comedic Performance
Will Ferrell - "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy"
Ben Stiller - "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story"

One of these two, as MTV are big marks for both (Stiller relies on writers to be funny, giving a slight edge to Ferrell)

Best On-Screen Team
Vince Vaughn, Christine Taylor, Justin Long, Alan Tudyk, Stephen Root, Joel David Moore and Chris Williams - "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story"

This should be the token nod for Dodgeball.

Best Villain
Jim Carrey - "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events"

Token nod for Carrey.

Breakthrough Performance Male
Jon Heder - "Napoleon Dynamite"

Lock for this guy.

Breakthrough Performance Female
Ashanti - "Coach Carter"

Ashanti is a bit of an MTV darling...

Best Action Sequence
The Subway Battle - "Spider-Man 2"

Token nod to Spiderman 2.

Best Fight

Daryl Hannah vs. Uma Thurman - "Kill Bill Vol. 2"

Token nod to Kill Bill Vol. 2.

Best Kiss
Jennifer Garner and Natassia Malthe - "Elektra"
Elisha Cuthbert and Emile Hirsch - "The Girl Next Door"

Stereotypical "Thrilling HLA moment".

Best Musical Performance
Jon Heder (Election Dance) - "Napoleon Dynamite"

The only real good part in the whole damned movie, I'd be surprised if it didn't win.

Best Frightened Performance
Sarah Michelle Gellar - "The Grudge"

File under: Gratuitous attempt to get an A-List Celebrity on the show.

Best Video Game Based On A Movie
"Spider-Man 2"

This one is disposable, I don't care one way or the other.
