That's more of a reason why they can succeed in my opinion. WCW were told not to go head to head with the WWF and everyone at the time thought they were doomed. They ended up being extremely competitive very early on and winning the ratings war soon after. Not saying TNA will compete but it's only a step up from where they are now.

Compared to where TNA stands now (excluding finishing their current TV), it's nothing but a big step up.
