Baseball doesn't take nearly as much out of a player as other sports do, players only come to bat about four times a game. On a regular base hit, players don't need to run at full speed, but even if they do they only have to run for like 10 seconds at most. Sometimes you have to throw a bullet from the outfield to home plate or some other long throw, but usually your arm is better by the next day.

The reason why pitchers only pitch every five or six days is because they are throwing like 120 pitches per game and they need rest

Plus, players get days off all the time. Most players only play about 150 out of the 162 games in the season.
