Detroit did not miss a free throw in the final 4 minutes. Shaquille "I always hit them when they count" O'Neal missed one and Damon Jones missed one. In the regular season, Damon Jones shot 80% and Rasheed Wallace shot 70%. Rasheed nailed his with no problem and Jones went 1-of-2. In the final minutes of the 4th quarter, no matter what your percentage is, you HAVE to hit free throws. Sheed, Prince and Billups stepped up and Shaq and Jones didn't. Had the Heat had hit all the free throws like the Pistons had, it would have been a two-point game when they had the last shot, and I can assure you Van Gundy would actually have a play drawn up instead of Wade pulling up for a three. The little things are why the Pistons continue to win.
I've been saying that for years now though. The guy is absolutely terrible. I like watching two refs ref. That bald headed white guy who reffed, and Crawford (the black guy, I think it's Danny Crawford?)

Bavetta wouldn't call that foul on Rasheed when he was the ref right under the goal, and made the ref at HALFCOURT call it, which is why Sheed was bitching (and I don't blame him at all actually). I'm not blaming the game on him. He called a few charges (two on Shaq I think, and one on Wade) which could have easily been blocks or a no-call because the guys were sliding under them. They could have been three point plays, and it's a different game. I do agree though, the two free throws missed were HUGE. Not disagreeing there at all. I really try not to question reffing/umpiring because I have umpired games before, and it's real rough, and I can only imagine reffing a basketball game.

Another question though - that foul on Antonio where Zo ended up falling into his knee. That just made me I was all pumped because I thought it was Sheed's 6th when he fouled a few minutes later, and then realized it was on Antonioooo.
