I dunno, I just think that the Red Sox are the exact same team as the Yankees, but they play the role and market themselves as the opposite. I thought the Sox were the greatest when they had the curse and couldn't beat the big bad empire, but now that the curse has been broken there is nothing special anymore. They spend nearly as much money, but they just have the look of your normal, friendly, everyday, working class guys. There are plenty of teams out there like that, Cincinatti, Cleveland, Minnesota, Oakland, Texas, etc.
I just choose the Yankees in this decision now because I figure, if you are going to do it, you might as well not hide from it.
