I know, but I was perhaps suggesting that maybe, they have figured out that a new way to create storylines is to use the "Net Buzz." Seriously, would anybody have been chanting "We Want Matt" if we hadn't learned about Lita cheating on him with Edge? What about if he hadn't gotten "Fired"? Really, I was posting from the standpoint of, maybe this could be the wave of the future as far as Storyline progression goes. They have been able to cover most of the Dirt Sheets, and had a hard time with the internet. It would only take one company created ruse to change how everyone looks at "Net News". We have the "Is it Real, or is it Fake?" thing already, if it is true, we'd also have a "Or, is it a storyline?". If that's the road we're going down, I'd be all for it. It may even bring some of the fun back for the fans.
I mean, I know I was thinking, if Matt Hardy's theme were to hit at the moment it eventually did, I was going to go nuts. It did, and I did. The fact it was just a teaser got some excellent heat, after the segment was almost killed by Edge. Maybe we should look at it in two ways:
1. The Net is more powerful than we/they think
2. Using the Net for Storylines is actually, believe it or not, a good idea.
Something tells me, that this whole thing was a ruse, come up with by Matt, to make a bigger heel out of Edge, and get people wanting him to come back. From what I could tell, it worked. Of course, if it is a failure, it was all Matt's fault for trying something so stupid. If it's a success, McMahon's a genius for coming up with such a groundbreaking idea.
But again, sorry for coming up with thread #3 for Workitude...
