Been a long time since the Cubs have had a player this complete. Watching Sammy Sosa hit home runs became repetitive. Probably because he couldnt do much else. He was average in the field. Below average at the plate when compared to Bonds and a lot of other sluggers.

At this moment, yes he is MVP. If he keeps playing like this for the rest of the year , the only person that might beat him out for MVP in the NL is the D-Train. If that guy wins 30 games and they somehow make the wild card. Forget about it. Sure there is the Cy Young award but c'mon. A 30 + game pitcher on a playoff team > all IMO.

Now if Lee hits 400. 40hr's and 140 rbi's. That > 30 wins on a playoff team.
If he hits 400 his team could come in dead last and he'd still get the MVP.
