Wow, I'm still shocked at actually seeing Matt on RAW. I say it's a litttle bit of both. I believe that the relationship crumbled, and he did get fired. But I think that his name has been chanted for the last few months. So they almost had to bring him back. That's not always the case, but at least my opinion.
But if this was all a work, the Matt Hardy message board is probably blowing up right now. I've read on there a few times, and those people hang on every single word he said. So if he says he lied to them, he will lose a bunch of fans.
