It's not because he's telling the truth, it's because he's telling an unpopular truth. Nobody (In this country) wants to admit that we're treating our own citizens unjustly, and nobody wants to be shown up for assuming those fat white guys were arab terrorists.

It's less about the truth and more about what we want to hear.
